Solo Project

This Figma app mockup is a practical and playful design with a strong focus on gamification and simplifying the everyday tasks of cooking and grocery shopping. Nourish tracks all the pantry items a user inputs, helping them discover new recipes quickly and confidently. By scanning their fridge, pantry, or even store receipts, the app automatically identifies available ingredients and generates personalized meal recommendations, all guided by the Mint AI, an integrated assistant designed to coach users through each step of the cooking process. The target audience includes young adults who are moving out on their own for the first time and want an easy, approachable way to build and maintain healthy habits.

The ultimate goal of this concept was to gamify the meal-planning experience through daily mini-games, streak-based challenges, and achievements that reward exploration and consistency. This encourages users not only to return to the app, but also to engage with their own kitchens, experimenting with new recipes, tracking their progress, and feeling motivated to plan ahead. The core design challenge involved conceptualizing and organizing a wide range of features (ingredient tracking, scanning tools, AI-assisted cooking, gamified goals, and personalized recommendations), into a cohesive final product pitch. Through research, user flow mapping, and iterative testing, the project aimed to show how Nourish could transform the early stages of independent living into something more manageable, rewarding, and fun.
